The Heart Behind the Craft – The Holy Land Institute for the Deaf
The Holy Land Institute for the Deaf (HLID), located in Salt, Jordan, is a pioneering educational and rehabilitation center dedicated to serving children and young adults who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind. Established in 1964, HLID offers a comprehensive range of services, including vocational training in areas such as woodworking and weaving as well as therapeutic support. Through its holistic approach, HLID empowers its students to achieve self-sufficiency and make meaningful contributions to society, regardless of their social, religious, political, or economic backgrounds
